Planning to get a new hunting bow compound. These were the top of my list, when I tried them out: Mathews Z7. Bowtech Destroyer 350. Bowtech Assassin. I also want to consider the Mathews Helium, but I haven't yet been able to try out yet. The Hoyt is slightly more vibration free and had a better grip out of the box. The ultra view on the Mathews makes them equal. The Hoyt required less for stabilizers but does seem to float a little more probably due to the weight difference. Quietness on the shot goes to the Mathews.

Yeah - the draw on my Hoyt is smoother but this just feels better (albeit heavier) in the hand. Additionally, it just shoots sooooo much better. For example; My Hoyt w/ G5 are off by like 4-5 inches, yet the Mathews, out of the box (mostly), shoots the G5 just like the Field Points.The Hoyt has very low spine sensitivity. Here are some pics and my first impressions..... First, all 4 bows came in out of spec. Draw weight was pretty high (77# on one!) so I brought them back in spec before shooting. These comments go for the Alpha X as well. As usual not much difference except weight. These bows were right on the money as to draw length once put in spec.With a Mathews, you need new limbs. Hoyt's risers are tough- 1500 dryfires. Mathews risers- they aren't shabby either, but after a few dryfires they would most likely be a little bent up.
